The ultimate development in monorail and underhung crane systems was announced by Cleveland Tramrail in 1961.  That year marked the introduction of the now famous patented TARCA track which is made by a special method of manufacturing.  In 2002 Gorbel Inc., the leading manufacturer of enclosed track overhead material handling systems up to 2 tons, purchased the Cleveland Tramrail line.  Cleveland Tramrail's patented track is a crane technology product that complements Gorbel's existing product line by taking it up to 10 ton capacities in a niche market.
