Industry: Manufacturer of
joint restraint products for ductile iron and PVC pipe.
Issues: This manufacturer was building
a new facility to support its growth. They were already using
Cleveland Tramrail™ in areas of their current facility but also used
fork trucks and hand pallet jacks to support the systems which proved
to be very inefficient and unsafe.
Situation: The
customer was already confident with the long wear life and reliability of
the Cleveland Tramrail™ Systems but wanted to avoid the usage of fork
trucks and pallet jacks in the new facility. To accomplish this,
they planned for cranes that interlock with each other for the new
facility. Interlocking systems improve the flow of materials through
the finishing process.
Cranes Chosen: 2 Ton and 5 Ton
capacity systems with 2 bridges each, 43' spans and 150' long
runways. The systems are parallel to each other and bridges can be
joined together via an interlock/discharge cross over
structure.
The customer also installed
Cleveland Tramrail™ sytems in two other areas of the new
building and have yet another area in the plant that they will be
ordering more Cleveland Tramrail™ for.
Results: The customer is very happy
with the systems that were installed and their productivity and
safety have increased within the facility. They look forward to
future business with Cleveland
Tramrail™. |
